- Cover letter should not be the duplicate copy of your resume but it
should complement your resume.
- Put your name, address and contact information either on the top
middle or on the right side of the cover letter. You can put your
contact number, email address here.
- Below this write the date on which you are submitting the cover
letter and resume.
- Then comes the name, designation of the person to whom you want to
address the cover letter. Also write the address of the organization
here.
- Just below this greet the person by writing Dear Sir or Madam,
Respected Sir or Madam
- Then comes the body of the cover letter of the resume that can be
divided into three sub paragraphs i.e. first, middle and concluding
paragraph. The first paragraph is the introduction that
will define who you are and for which position you are interested in.
- In the middle paragraph of the cover letter for resume will
define what you will offer. Write down the your strength and what you
can do for the organizational growth. Do not over explain everything. It
is better to write points for the quick view for which the cover letter
is meant for.
- In the last or concluding paragraph of the cover letter you
can write down the objective of the cover letter and ask for the time
when to meet. So in general it will have the follow-up.
- End your cover letter with word like Sincerely, Truly, Faithfully
etc. By giving some space below this write your name which should be
followed by space and words stating 'Enclosure: Resume.'
