Careers in Police Through Indian Police Service Exam
Careers in Police is also called career in law enforcement where young men and women join the police as police officers. To start career in police as Group A and Group B officer one must clear the three rounds of Indian Police Services (IPS) exam that is conducted once in every year. This written and interview exam for the recruitment of Group A and Group B officers in police is conducted through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) that also hires the Commandants for Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The IPS examination is conducted in three stages. The first consists of objective test called Preliminary examination. Candidates who clear this sits for written test called the Main exam. You can join Gazetted Police Officer jobs once you clear the IPS and can also join Indian Police as Non-Gazetted officer.
